Reflexology
Reflexology is a holistic therapy that focuses on encouraging relaxation and supporting overall wellbeing. Stress is widely recognised as having a significant impact on health, and taking time to unwind can be an important step in strengthening both physical and emotional resilience. The practice involves gentle, targeted touch applied to specific areas of the feet and lower legs, which reflect different systems and structures within the body.
This treatment offers a calm, supportive space where clients receive undivided attention and nurturing touch. This quiet, therapeutic time allows for rest, reflection, and connection in a compassionate setting. Reflexology is a non-invasive therapy that can be used alongside conventional medical care to complement and support a person’s overall health and wellbeing.
Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy Massage is an incredibly relaxing and nurturing treatment, that can have many benefits. Research has shown that it can reduce stress, reduce anxiety, promote relaxation, reduce swelling, lower blood pressure, ease physical aches and pains and can contribute to a shorter, less painful childbirth experience.
During the treatment you will be in the side lying position, using pillows and cushions, so you and your baby are fully supported and completely comfortable. This is preferable to adapted couches that allow you to lie on your front as this can still put some strain on your abdominal muscles.
Each treatment will be tailored to your needs and stage of pregnancy to care for both you and baby.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is a type of massage therapy that’s primarily known for its relaxation effects. With this technique, a massage therapist targets muscles with a combination of friction, gliding strokes, and kneading.
Also known as classical massage, this technique is the most common form of massage therapy in Western countries. It’s also considered a core technique that led to the creation of other types of massage therapy.
