Many people come to acupuncture for help with specific symptoms or to relieve specific pain. Some use acupuncture because they feel generally unwell but have no obvious diagnosis. Others choose acupuncture simple to enhance their feeling of wellbeing. Acupuncture is considered suitable for all ages including babies and children. It can be used effectively alongside conventional medicine.
Alan has been practising for the past 19yrs after training at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa founded by the late Professor J.R. Worsley (1923-2003), credited with bringing Five Element Acupuncture to the West.
A member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC) and the Natural Fertility Network (NFN) he has been an associate of the Natural Fertility Centre Edinburgh (NFC) for the past 5 years.
Traditional Five Element Acupuncture is a very specific style of acupuncture which teaches us that every human being has an innate ability to self-heal and return to full health. What makes this ancient system of medicine so uniquely suited to modern life is that physical, emotional and mental are seen as interdependent, and reflect what most people perceive as the connection between the different aspects of their lives.
