Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy Massage is an incredibly relaxing and nurturing treatment, that can have many benefits. Research has shown that it can reduce stress, reduce anxiety, promote relaxation, reduce swelling, lower blood pressure, ease physical aches and pains and can contribute to a shorter, less painful childbirth experience.
During the treatment you will be in the side lying position, using pillows and cushions, so you and your baby are fully supported and completely comfortable. This is preferable to adapted couches that allow you to lie on your front as this can still put some strain on your abdominal muscles.
Each treatment will be tailored to your needs and stage of pregnancy to care for both you and baby.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage can be defined as the use of classic massage techniques to manipulate soft tissue for relaxation and holistic purposes. The massage therapist will use five main types of massage techniques in a Swedish massage: stroking and gliding; kneading; rubbing; tapping or pounding; vibration
